Time with the family
Over the next few days my posts will be very sporadic and may not even occur as I turn my time and attention to my family and very close friends in Southern California.
Yesterday I took some time out and walked along the beach in San Diego, it was a very happening place because of the heat wave happening in SoCal this week. With all the heat comes some very bad news as well. Much of LA County and Orange County are under State of emergency right now because of the wildfires happening.
After breakfast with the Simpsons (Erick, Sue and family) we drove to the Honda Center to get some Ducks gear for Colin and drove through a huge smoke cloud from a near by wildfire, it reminded me of the forest fires that occur in Northern Alberta each year, but different, people’s home go up with the firestorm fueled by the powerful Santa Ana winds. Please pray for those affected by these fires.

The weather is awesome here in San Diego. I haven’t seen a cloud in the sky since I got to Burbank on Wednesday. Thank You God for the wonderful weather and please take care of those in the fire paths.
Family time is very important to me now. At one time it was not, I know what you are saying (I can hear you)! I was all about business and making money. You know something and truth of this is that it didn’t make me any money, it actually fueled my bad habits of spending, high credit card balances and other very poor behaviours. I wasn’t happy and I was lost, thinking I was on top of the world. Today, I am back on the road to fulfillment with family, friends and Christ - which is totally awesome.

The lord works in wonderful ways. Now I need that strength as I go through my transition from IT Matters to my next career. Please join my in my prayers from my family and also those at IT Matters and their families.
IT Matters will continue to be a very strong family and do great things. So please pray for them as well.
Time to head to Tijuana. Enjoy your Sunday!
