Coast to Coast

The entire day on Wednesday my mind kept replaying one of my favourite instrumentals by the German Metal band “Scorpions”.  There track called “Coast to Coast” is exactly what I have done today.  Watch the video or listen to it as you read.

This afternoon around 4:30 Eastern time I departed Reagan National in Washington for my trip to Burbank for my HTG meeting with the group from HTG3.  You never know this could be my last meeting with these guys, especially since my announcement of leaving IT Matters.  I would love to stay part of this group, however it is up to the guys in the group for what they want to get out of a member.  The choice is 100% theirs and I will be OK with whatever they come up with.

Difficult situations come our way often in life and it is how you choose to deal with these decisions that will impact everything you do from this day forward.  I have life experiences on decisions that I have made, you know good and not so good that still play an important role in my life.

I like to think now I have another avenue of consultatation available to me outside of my family, friends and peers.  It is very comforting to know that this is always there for me and I can turn to God at anytime for guidance.  This world is so much bigger than I, and the most important thing to remember is that we are all very, very, very small fish in His big pond.  However, that doesn’t stop Him caring for us.

I want to thank my good buddy Ernie Sherman from Harris Computer Services in Ottawa for his support during this time of my life.  Ernie is one of the few guys that actually said that he was proud of me for making this decision and that many people he knows just go through life living with the things that make them unhappy.  Thanks Ernie for that great vote of confidence, and coming from a guy like you, that means a lot to me and my family.
