The Shack by Paul Young
Here I am sitting in SeaTac Airport at the N Gates waiting to catch my flight home to Calgary at 6:30 PM. I feel like I have been in Seattle for a week but it has only really been 32 hours or so.
SMB Nation is just wrapping up for another year and it was great to have the perspective of where we are in our own business at IT Matters. I am reading an awesome book that my spouse has put me onto called “The Shack”. I normally only read a few pages per day, however in only the past few days I am almost completely through this book that tells the story of “Mack” who lost his young Missy by the LadyKiller murderer. This story is a fictional story however the lessons of life are very true. This story which I have not completed yet tells about how a man (similar to me) wrestles with his belief and the power of the trinity after his daughter is murdered in the Oregon mountains. I highly recommend Paul Young’s book.
So my lesson for today is no matter how rough life appears on the surface, the true joy comes from being a follower and putting your faith in the Lord.
I can’t wait to get on the plane so I can continue with this book.
