Sitting in Calgary Airport (YYC)
This is a strange feeling, I am sitting in the airport but not flying anywhere. How strange is that? Actually, this is my second time to the airport today. First was to pickup my friend Dana Epp from Scorpion Software and now by buddy Peter Heider from Fort St. John is coming in. We are all here in Calgary for Loadfest tomorrow.
I can’t believe that Loadfest is tomorrow. Please pray for everyone coming in that they travel safe and make it here and home.
What is Loadfest? It was a vision I had when I was in San Antonio in July about putting on a tech day for our community here in Calgary. We have a high number of folks registered for Loadfest. We will be covering SBS 2008, Hyper-V, Response Point, MOSS and AuthAnvil/RWWGuard.
You can still come tomorrow, details are on http://www.samuc.com.
Why did I decide to do Loadfest? Simple, it was just the right thing to do. Nothing more and nothing less. I wanted to do something for the Calgary IT community and give back to the people that have helped me.
I also want to thank my good friend Rodney from Microsoft who is here to help us with our event.
Another hats off to Jeff Loucks from St. Catharines who is enroute right now to talk about Response Point.
So some great stuff at Loadfest!
The biggest thank you goes out to Colin Knox. Colin is our Service Manager at IT Matters and a great friend of mine as well. Colin has a tough job with us and does it with excellence and professionalism every day. Thanks Colin for all your hard work with the prep work for Loadfest.
