My friend Dave asked me…

I had dinner with my friend David Cree the other night prior to our Calgary Entrepreneurs Meetup at the Coast Plaza Hotel.  I haven’t known Dave all that long, however, he is just one of those guys you connect with instantly.  Just like my good buddies Dave West and Paul Moffatt, these are just guys you instantly connect with and friendship grow.  David’s firm is Clearpath SEO and he is a sponsor with our upcoming marketing announcement with the Calgary Chamber of Commerce.  Dave also publishes Propel Magazine here in Alberta, I recommend you check out both of his websites, the one for ClearPath SEO and Propel Magazine.

During our dinner Dave asked me or more inquired about my openness of my faith on my blog.  Now, I never really thought about how to answer this before, so the immediate answer was something like this I think.  “Well, I am just being me and that is what I put out there” or something like that.  After all, it was Thursday and it was a crazy week all around.

You know I am just me.  I am a Christian, a family man, I have two great teenage boys and a lovely bride and some awesome friends.  Some I do business with and some I don’t.  Dave, Dave, Paul, Wendy, Peter plus everyone in my HTG3 group and one of my best friends Arlin.  Without any of you in my life, it would be totally incomplete and of course without Christ in my life, well what can I say.

I do love my Heavy Metal music, and I don’t hide that.  I live for music and the heavier the better to a limit (also can’t forget about golf).  I still can’t get my head around some of the stuff that play on Sirius 27, Hard Attack.  You just have to be you.  I spit when I talk, oh well, life goes on.  I get my words mixed up, I did a number of stupid things in my life, I trusted people who betrayed me and I forgive them…life is just life and you have to be who you are.

Don’t try to hide the real you…someone told me once, just let the owey, gewy, Stuey out…I still sometimes hide the true essence of me, however making some strides forward.

Thanks to all my friend who have been there we with through the good times and the not-so good times.

  1. Hi Stuart,
    That’s really unfortunate.
I recommend you report it to blogger’s abuse department, I’m sure it is against their AUP.
I took the trouble to look up the link for you:

I certainly hope that does the trick.
    Best regards,
    Bill
