Inspiration from Vlad
Vlad Mazek has a great firm in Orlando that provides a number of different services to the IT Professional community. I don’t do business with Vlad today however his blog at http://www.vladville.com is one I check from time to time. Sometimes it is just Vlad preaching from the roof top and sometimes he actually has some pretty wise words.

This posting makes a lot of sense to me. I am one of the guys who checks email while on vacation or it is Sunday today and I am in the office working on expenses. Am I insane, heck no, I love what I do and I would go to the ends of the earth to do anything to bring success to IT Matters. I would give the shirt off my back to a colleague, even at midnight or whenever. I have done it in the past and I will continue to do it going forward.
Sure, I am outspoken and sometimes say the wrong thing. If you don’t like that, well it is tough, I won’t change who I am for anyone. That is what has brought me success in life and will bring me more success going forward.
I still practice the learnings from the Go Giver, more to come over the next few days on this one and all the other leadership books. I am fair and I do expect results with no excuses. The best people in the world and the true leaders understand that you need to take action, get results and never make an excuse. Take 100% accountability for your actions and your results.
OK, my rant is done…read Vlad’s posting and ask yourself this question. Am I expect rewards for just doing my job?
